International TOGU Day makes science tangible

Sensorimotor function, fascia and athletic training are the topics of this year’s network event

The term fascia is now an integral part of the health and fitness industry. Whether training forms, tools or new medical findings – the range is broad, research is constantly being developed. Fascia surrounds every body structure and is just as important for performance as for the prevention and rehabilitation of an athlete. For the premium manufacturer of air-filled training and therapy equipment TOGU, this is reason enough to take up the topic at the International TOGU Day on April 5, 2017 to the start of FIBO. Four renowned speakers, including Dr. Robert Schleip, will give exciting lectures on the current state of science in the field of fascia research.

On April 5th, already one day before the start of FIBO, TOGU invites you to the branch meeting in the congress center of Messe Köln. The TOGU International Day has now established itself as a popular training and networking event and is aimed specifically at trainers and functionaries from the areas of movement, health, fitness and sports. The specialist for air-filled training and therapy equipment from Prien am Chiemsee presents participants and partners with a varied theory and practice program on “Senso motor, Fascia and Athletic Training”. Participants will be presented by Dr. Robert Schleip, Director of Fascia Research Group, University of Ulm, Dr. Christos Papadopoulos, Head of Athletic Performance and Rehabilitation Training Department, Romanian Football Federation, Antje Hammes, Sports scientist and Sports therapist, Educator DTB (German Gymnastics Association) and Divo Müller, Senior Fascial Fitness Mastertrainer, Movement Therapist and Health Practitioner.

Theory meets practice

But even those who prefer to be active in sports, will not regret to visit the International TOGU Day. “The focus is not only on the theoretical lectures, but also on practical application possibilities and workshops with the air-filled TOGU products”, says TOGU sales manager Wolfgang Moosleitner. Dr. Robert Schleip, who is already present for the second time as a speaker, adds: “The TOGU Day is a particularly promising start for FIBO. In addition to theoretical contributions, the participants are offered numerous different TOGU training devices, which are used in practice-oriented lectures. This makes the products tangible and their application area understandable. I’m glad to be back in 2017. ” The participants are waiting for lectures by

Why preparation is important Skiing, whether alpine, cross-country, or ski touring, is one of the most popular winter sports, but it also poses particular challenges for the body. Joints, muscles, and coordination must work together perfectly to safely master stresses such as rapid changes of direction, jumps, or long descents. Those who start the season unprepared risk not only sore muscles, but also pain and injury. That's why it's worth training specifically before the first day of snow.
