Are you sitting right?

Who hasn't experienced it... You get up in the morning and your back aches, your neck is stiff and even a gentle stretch only helps a little bit.
But where does the constant neck pain, tension and back pain come from?
Generally it's easy to recognise that the hours of sitting at work is the cause of all this trouble – but what can you do about it?
New chair?
Different alignment of the computer screen?
Less sitting, more standing?
More movement after work?
All good ideas!
But how can you make it happen?
The human body is not made to sit still and rigid for the majority of the day. But often it's not possible to change this, so if the mountain won't come to Muhammad then Muhammad must go to the mountain - which means that you have to incorporate more movement into your sitting.
Sitting on a ball would naturally be optimal. With the correct ball size a larger torso angle can be created. The dynamic seating position means that the deep spinal and hip muscles are always being used in the small balancing movements to ensure an upright seating position.
If there isn't space for a seating ball then the problem can be easily solved with a Dynair Ballkissen. In no time at all you have a "wobbly" seating surface on your chair, which brings movement to your seated everyday life while at the same time strengthening the deep back muscles and improving your posture, all the way up to the cervical spine.
Another option to relieve your back on the office chair or kitchen stool is the Dynair Wedge Ballkissen.
The wedge shape supports your pelvis and tilts it forward, which leads to better posture for your torso. At the same time you have the same advantage as with a round Ballkissen, that the air filling doesn't limit your pelvis' movement to the side, and your sitting is therefore more "mobile" and dynamic.
Have fun trying it out! Your back will thank you!
